Nostalgia washes over me...
The original title of this blog was “My Last Day” but it felt too ominous.
I’ve started this entry around
It all started back in 2001 when I moved back to the bay to work for a recruiting firm in
The first person that I really got to know was JC who is an amazing guy and later honored me as my best man at my wedding. He got married the first week I started and left for his honeymoon so I covered for him. Four years later he would cover for me as I went on my honeymoon. His wife TC, like her husband is a talented writer, poet and artist. I always thought JC should do more spoken word, perhaps his beautiful and strong willed baby boy will take the torch.
Can't forget GF. He's the godfather of Asian American activism. Thru him I was introduced and got involved in the vibrant asian american community in the bayarea. Now, we're just waiting for him get married to his awesome girlfriend. What are you waiting for!?!
As I mentioned before... our "di-lo" is a wise Chinese philosopher who goes by 2K. His knowledge of politics, networking, child-rearing, getting best deals on tech items, basketball and more is unmatched. He is indeed like a wise shaolin monk but with network administrative skills. He is the most underappreciated yet the most valuable employee at my old job.
There’s of course VP. He use to be the Indian Play Boy but he’s now tamed by his wife. VP has the skills to be a VP or Pres somewhere. Like 2K he is someone who is underappreciated and also knows where to get all the best deals.
Looking back there are others like Melanie, Esther, Nora, Emi, Steve, Dave,Yanman, Jes, Marianne and Marissa,Olivia and Susan, Laureen, Monica, Steph, Johanna, Crystal, Shelanie, Angela, and of course the team of Andy and Lisa. I hope I'm not forgetting anyone... All have had an impact on me in my career and in my personal life.
And to the new homie JO, hang in there...
Strange... I feel hungover now than I did waking up this morning.
