First day at my new job
whew... my first day at my new job was a packed day.
As soon as I walked in one my team members started training me right away until our team meeting. At the meeting, people were telling me that they sent emails and scheduled meeting with me... At this point I didn't know where my desk was or my email account for that matter.
After the team meeting it was more training then off to the department meeting. It was a fast-paced, info-packed meeting. The message that I got from the director was that we need to make it work and make it work fast!
More training then sat in on a group interview for a possible new hire then it was off to the HR dept to fill out some paper work.
The actual work that I had to do was pretty easy but man there's lots of meetings... It seems that no matter what I do it's going to involve lots of people working together. Quite different from what my old job was like.

sweet. that's a lot different than coming to the JMPT office and the door is locked because no one is there, and they're too cheap to give you a key.
